Motorized Vehicle Porn Thread

How difficult is it to do maintenance in a thing like that?

Myself and one of the other folks who deals with it happen to have matching scars from that vehicle.

It's sometimes not bad, but a lot of it is like trying to rebuild a smallblock Chevy mill in an outhouse. No room, and everything is a mess.

Some interior/misc. shots of the Chieftain.

Driver's compartment-

This is shot from the Loader's seat, looking toward the driver's compartment. You can see the driver's headrest folded down in the center of the shot.

The TC's position, from the loader's position.

The loader actually has a bit of room, but the TC and Gunner better be REALLY friendly as the TC is just about riding the gunner's shoulders.

More to come. I also have these in much larger resolution

The blue behind the plate threw me off >.<

It had been an "on mark" conversion, so that engine has a bajillion layers of paint on it.

Note the T-Bar steering, and automatic transmission range selector. The big green thing to the left is a plug for jump-starting.

VC/TC hatch closed, to explain the light green color, and demonstrate the good visibility of the numerous viewports on the cupola-

The engine. Tried to get a better shot, but it is very cramped. Basically a militarized small block Chevy .

I posted a Brutus video a few pages back, haven't seen this one before.

Found the rest of that video http://www.streetfire.net/video/top-gear-season-18-episode-6-bbc-uk_part-1_2378464.htm on segment 4.

But now i'm unsure, i thought the Brutus was made around the interwar period? Is it actually a modern creation?

stronk german pre-ww2 racing ``car`` (more an engine on 4 wheels) you rly needed balls of steel to drive these :XD

some of these (modified) auto unions still hold world records, on some tracks the lap time set by these cars is still not beaten (since modern cars never race these, and after war cars where slower (due to safety rules etc), while also this record still stands

The land speed record on public roads, set ninety minutes before his death by his great rival Rudolf Caracciola of Mercedes at 268.863 MPH, has not been challenged
