Damn son. But myrepublic... Commerce commission made them rename their "gigabit fibre" offer here, on account of it not actually giving gigabit performance. Not sure what youd need that sort of bandwidth for on a domestic scale anyways.

Real world speeds I've heard is anywhere from 600-990 Mbps. There's no fucking way they're making any money out of this thanks to the bullshit CVC pricing the NBN has, I think its more to prove a point to the Government which are still going on about how no one wants internet faster than 2512.5Mbps (They shifted the goalposts again... to ADSL2+ speeds)

True 1Gb speeds, potential for 10Gb, true competition between providers with NBN able to scrap the CVC BS or at least make it a nominal fee and just sit back and rake in sweet cash.

Libs have stacked the NBN full of those with connections to Murdoch I assume. Their only interests is keeping people off content in the internet like Netflix and what not because they can't be assed making a competing service in favour of overpricing their bullshit content (looking at you Foxtel).
