Showcase of MM is fine, Arty is balanced and the map team are gud

Some of it is pretty straight forward - basically complaining they spent money on warpack and didn't expect it to be banned.

If I understand it right, 2Voz has those pictures because he's saying that those specific mods are banned. No download links.

Does his blog have download links for those mods?

How someone can post that back when they were a mod.......and not be permanently banned is beyond me.

That section of the forums was completely out of control and all the clans acted like it.

Id quote poli, but we know what happened when he said it.

Umm why would someone get banned for stating what mods are illegal and what mods are not?

But I do see what the administrator is saying, he clearly knows something is up.

He promotes them on his blog and IIRC said these are banned with a wink and dont mention them on the forums.

Someone probably still has the screenshots.

I dream of a day where Ricko_Roller is banned for inciting unrest…

If I was a mod I'd perma ban him for trying to make stupidity contagious.

Yes. I think I have posted them previously.

Somehow, the post seems to be either edited or missing, or it was a different post from the one I found off Ruby 2Voz's blog. It looks clean (as far as google translate is concerned)

No, just ineptitude.

1. Are they sanctioned more heavily if they are critical?

2. Does the time period of said warnings count in your process of penalising?

1. Depends. players with a very long history of repeated forum offenses will be removed from the forums.

Sanctions are there to stop the rule violations. sometimes this can be done with a warning, sometimes players need muting for a small duration,.

After a mass of previous small duration mutes, its then obvious yet another minor mute wont prevent future rule violations. So longer or permanent forum mutes are placed, and/or if needed game bans up to permanent game bans.

2. Sure.

sanctions available to moderators are all low level, one off sort of duration's.

Players who excessively and repetitively break the forum rules, should be escalated up to management for extended sanctions.

IE extended .. week, month , permanent, Forum mutes.. Or if needed game bans up to permanent game bans

The main issue in the past for English moderation is this escalation process for extended sanctions has been lacking.

So because moderators haven't been following a process correctly (they must be out of sync with Tanitha's wishes) or haven't had the tools, then players will be penalised so that instead of receiving an increasing punishment they just get hit with the ban stick because 'reasons'.

ii) Perma-banning active "trolls" needs to be balanced against the contribution made to these forums. Many of the active "trolls" in CRD are often active contributors to other parts of the forums, including helping new players. The loudest trolls on here are usually (not always but often) some of the most passionate players of the game - surely there's a better approach rather than perma-banning? If these passionate contributors and players are so alienated that they just continually post negativity that leads to banning, then the question needs to be asked, why is this the case. Also, you need a time limit on warning points.

Correct. But i believe you are mainly referring to one (A player) which was banned recently. Which was incorrectly placed as time of the offenses wasn't taken into consideration thoroughly.
The sanction has been removed now.

Tanitha not aware of the number of people he has placed permanent ROs/bans. He could only think of one that he has been actively called out for. Never mind all of the other mistakes like nuking clans/accounts at his direction incorrectly.
