If you are part of a tank crew, what role would you want?

After giving this thread some thought and reading the responses of those who have actually been in tanks I have decided I would probably elect for Naval service.

Unfortunately it is a job requirement of anyone with FiST responsibilities; you can't see planes from the open-protected.

Historically, did the radiomen have any responsibilities beyond operating the radio?

With all the mention of the KV-5 and the radioman has everyone seen the latest 8-bit tales?  (Also I know I said gunner but if it was going to be a KV-5 I think driver would be more fun. Just run over everything.  )

There's something to this.  Frankly, you just cannot beat a good crew.

 

My gunner was AMAZING - probably the best in the company, the driver had all his shit in one sack, and my loader was also the company FAC; so we clicked pretty well.
