Pacifist Looking for Clam!

So my soloscrubbing winrate is currently in freefall, could really use a clan except for one slight problem....

 

I am not currently even close to having any clam warz tanks, and frankly I am not desperate to take part in that any time soon.

 

I made an that for some reason you all collectively decided to disregard and ignore

 

I currently am enjoying trying to enjoy my time in the mid tiers, have a few lines running from tiers 3 through to 7, I did have a 60+% winrate but as I am moving up the tiers and trying to grind through some stock tier 6 tanks I have found that my poor winrate is now going down faster than a.... well let's just say it's going down fast.

 

I know there are a hundred clans that would take me in a heartbeat no questions asked but I am hoping to join a somewhat more selective clan with better quality players, I really do want to get my winrate back up into the 60's and really want to continue to improve as a player. I could make a thread on the potato forums and get lots of invites but would rather ask here, even if it does turn out to be futile.

 

I don't have any tanks above tier 7 at this time. However I do bring...

 

• A somewhat reasonable level of talent and knowledge.

 

• A willingness to learn and do what it takes to further improve.

 

• Maturity, ok maybe not maturity but I am somewhat old.

 

• Not totally scrubby stats, but they could use a bit of work.

 

• Whatever voice comms you use, prefer TS3 but can get others working if needed.

 

Tanks I am currently running, T29, Hellcat, T-150, Churchill I, T-34-85, SU-85b, Bishop, Type T-34. + a few tier 3's for sng's. Tier 10's I intend to get eventually, T110E5, IS4, Object 140. However not going to rush to tier 10 at this time.

 

So are there any gud clans out there that might consider relaxing their requirements a tad for a "candidate" with potential?

McClubbin, the problem you are going to have is that a lot of the good clans have a tier 10 tank requirement, even if they aren't very active in CW. If you have an interest in one day playing clan wars you could join one of the social clans for the good clans. By joining these social clans you can still platoon with the players in the good clans, but don't have the obligation for participating in CW. My clan's social group is NBG, I think the PETCO (OTTER, FOXEY, etc) clans have a social clan but I don't know it's name, and you could also try one of the RDDT clans. There are also some good clans that aren't as serious in CW that you may want to check out, _ICE_, IOC_5, and M--M. I'm not sure what the requirements are for these clans, but they may be worthwhile for you to check out. Best of luck!

Yes thanks, I think the type of clan you mention would be my best bet, never expected a top clan to take me without tier 10's. And totally forgot about the campaign being on, I guess it keeps people in good clans busy enough (but I did give it nearly 2 days ).

 

My SEA account, I rarely play there, but took my 268 out for a spin yesterday (only game I played on that server) and had a decent game lol. I sometimes have the idea of going back and running with my SEA account full time, but after a handful of battles that urge is completely destroyed and back to NA I go.

I was briefly in one of those kimbo/limbo clans but at the time I had tier 3's and 4's and nobody was interested in platooning with me. Was also in RDDT3 but despite making it clear when they interviewed me that I had no CW ready tanks (not even for the campaign) people kept poking, messaging me abusing me etc for not being in CW so yeah, those first couple of experiments didn't work out so great. In their defence I think the rank and file weren't aware of my status and they were struggling to get numbers for some battles so some over zealous members got a bit carried away.

 

Have had half a dozen other clans approach me but call me an elitist jerk if you want, not that I am elite by any means, when all the commanders/officers/recruiters have sub 50 winrates it's "thanks, but no thanks".

Sorry for not responding, have been away from game for over a month due to new addition to family.

 

I did look at IGB but you guys are a clan wars clan which I would rather avoid until I am clan wars ready which could be a ways off.

 

Making exceptions is good and all but the last clan I tried did just that except the leadership neglected to tell the rank and file. So every time a special battles popped I was getting abused from all directions for not participating, even though I specifically stated that I did not have any clan wars tanks yet.

 

Happy enough solo pubbing for now, although I do miss the social atmosphere of a busy TS3 server.

Another one you may want to check out is MEDIC. Their description seems to match you pretty well.

 

I did, but I fall short on a couple of their requirements, namely the WN8 and lack of a tier 8 tank of any kind. T29 is currently my highest and it's not even fully upgraded. First tier 8 I am expecting to get is the 416 which might be up to a week away.

 

Guess I need to just suck it up and join a social/casual clan.

 

When I came back a couple of days ago I had one of those moments where I said to myself "screw this I'm going back to my SEA account, rerolling on NA just isn't worth it" I think I lasted about 7 or 8 battles before I quit in disgust and logged back into NA.

Hey McClubbin,

 

 

We had a bit of a chat in game earlier but as I said our doors at TLR is open for you if your interested.

 

Our membership is pretty solid stats wise and we been pretty active platooning every night.

 

Right now we are also in the middle of forming up a tournament team if competitive play is something that might interest you but in the end participation is not mandatory.
